Open Apps Script
In the spreadsheet: Extensions → Apps Script.

Paste the backend code
Open apps-script.js, copy all, paste into editor, save.

Deploy as Web App
Deploy → New deployment → gear → Web app. Execute as: Me, Who has access: Anyone. Deploy & authorize.
